Components of Golf Club
Firstly, you must know
the components of any golf club, it consists of four main parts, which are:
1- The Grip :
The is the handle and it is made of rubber material and is used to make it easier for the
golfer to hold the club easily and comfortably.
2- The Shaft of the golf
club:  This shaft is made of graphite or steel, and its length is determined according to the type of the club as it will be explained in this article and as a
general rule... the longer the shaft of the club, the greater the distance that
the golf ball will go after hitting it and vice versa.
3- Hosel: This part is responsible for connecting the shaft arm with the clubhead.
4- The clubhead:
In this article we
will talk about 5 different types of golf clubs that you will use to play this
interesting game … but first let me explain to you some important things:
Firstly, using the right
club on the right swing is one of the most important things at all. Most
professional golfers know when, how and where to use that club.
Secondly: Every golf
player must have a golf club bag containing 14 golf clubs.
Thirdly: The
manufacturing materials that we will mention here are only the material of the
clubhead. If I mention to you that there is a type called the iron club,
you should note that I am here talking about the clubhead and not the club shaft.
Types of golf clubs:
With this in mind, I
will now show you the five types of golf clubs, and after this article, you
will not need anything else to decide what to play with.
1- Woods club:
Do you really think that the clubhead of this club is made of wood??? Of course not, this was very old, but at the present time this clubhead is made of titanium or iron.
This clubhead has the largest head in golf clubs in terms of size and takes a circular shape and hollow from the inside where by correct hitting this club will support a distance of 200 to 350 yards if the ball is hit correctly..
This woods club is used in two very important positions. The first position is the starting point (Tee Box) and has a specific classification (1-woods) this club called Driver club … and the second is used in the fairway area (3-woods) .. It has other classifications of clubheads Woods 5-, 3- and 7- woods
2- Iron club:
from its name we know the material of its manufacture and not as mentioned in the woods club... It is actually made of iron >> Here also I am talking about the clubhead and the for iron clubhead is smaller than the previous type and has a certain geometric shape, some of which are hollow from the inside and some of them are not hollow, as shown in the attached pictures...
and they are used to hit the ball for less distances than the previous type.
The closer we get to the Green, the more appropriate the use of this club... It also has 7 classifications, starting from 3- to 9- iron … the more the ranging number, the lower the hitting distance for the ball,
for example, when using a club with an iron clubhead with a ranging of 3- iron the ball will go further than the club with a ranging of 5- iron and so on.
The long iron club ranging is called 3- and 4-iron and it can reach swing distance up to 170 yards.
The Mid iron club ranging is called 5-, -6 and 7-iron, and the swing distance can reach a maximum of 140 yards.
The Short iron club ranging is called -8 and 9-iron, and the swing distance can reach a maximum of 120 yards.
3- Hybrids club:
It is one of the modern classifications of clubs that exist in the 21’s century. The clubhead is made of two materials together, which are wood and iron.
It is considered a
mixture of the two previous types, and that is why it was called a hybrid … The aim of this club is to replace the long iron club that has ranging of  3- and 4- iron due to its ease of use instead
of the iron club and it is preferable to use it as it is easier to swing than
the iron club and this type of club is very suitable for beginners instead of
using the iron club for the same purpose.
4- Wedges club:
These types of clubs also have an iron head, but with different loft and much less than the previous types. These types of clubs are used to hit the ball into the green area and hit the ball for short distances.
This type is classified
into 4 Classifications or types and they are:
• Pitching wedge:
It
can be defined that it is very close to the classification of 9- of the iron
type, and from my point of view it can be called the 10- iron type, knowing
that there is no such classification in the iron type, but I say this to bring
you closer to the scene... The loft is between 46 and 50 degrees and supports a
maximum hitting distance of 110 yards.
• Gap wedge:
The loft is 50 to 55 degrees and supports a swing distance of up to 90 yards.
• Sand wedge:
The loft for this type is approximately 55 to 57 degrees and supports a swing distance of up to 90 yards. This club is used around the green area
• Lob Wedge:
The loft
is large, up to 64 degrees, supports a swing distance of 40 to 50 yards, and
is most used when the ball is stuck in deep grass (Rough).
5- Putter:
The last
type of clubs that we will talk about in this article … This clubhead is made
of iron or reinforced plastic, and this club is used inside the Green for the
last kick until the ball enters the hole … Yes, it is really the moment that
everyone wishes … A golfer and the ball falls into the hole... When it's putter
time, it's the happiest moment in my life personally... And the putter can be
classified into two categories and they are
• Blade putter:
This
type is used by professional golfers and has a blade-like head, which is a
small head
• Mallet putter:
It
has a larger head than the previous type and is therefore heavier than the
previous type as it can be used by intermediate and beginners golfers because
it gives them more control on the last kick
